Class 1; California Code of Regulations, title 14, Section 15301(b)
Reasons for Exemption
The project is exempt from environmental review pursuant to CEQA Guidelines section 15301(b) which exempts, among other things, the operation, repair, maintenance, and permitting of existing facilities (either privately, or publicly owned) for the provision of a public utility service, involving negligible or no expansion of use. The project consists of the continued use of an existing wireless telecommunications facility with minor equipment modifications that will not expand the facility’s lease area.
