Reasons for Exemption
The replacement or reconstruction of existing
asphalt concrete along the project and new asphalt
concrete will be located on the same site as the
structure replaced and will have the same purpose
and capacity as the structure replaced. It has been
determined that the construction of sidewalks, ADA
access ramps, signage, striping, and pavement
markings are pursuant to the categorical exemption
described in Section 15301, Class 2, Replacement or
Reconstruction.
