Document Description
The City of Fresno Capital Projects Department proposes the replacement of existing facilities by furnishing and installing approximately ten thousand nine hundred and twenty-three (10,923) lineal feet of 8" water main, and ninety eight (98) lineal feet of 6" water main. In addition, replacing existing water services to 342 lots (315 contractor+ 27 City installed) and service transfers will be performed at all those locations. Construction will also include the replacement or installation of 21 fire hydrants with 6 additional hydrants to be installed by City forces. Expansion of utilities by the construction of new fire hydrant installation will be negligible. The work will be performed in the vicinity of S. Orange, E. Church, S. Cedar and E. Jensen Avenues. The 8" and 6" water mains will replace 50± year old mains. A portion of work is within the County of Fresno.
