Document Description
This project will replace a linear accelerator machine located in room 0116C in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Cancer Center South building at the Sacramento Campus. The project will install a new linear accelerator, decommissioning and removal of the existing machine, and upgrades to the data, electrical, and lighting, system and interior finishes within the existing room.

This project qualifies as categorically exempt under Exemption Class 1 of the Guidelines for the Implementation to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). This exemption applies to the operation, repair, maintenance or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities or mechanical equipment, involving negligible or no expansion of the existing use. In addition, none of the exceptions for application of a categorical exemption apply to this project.
