Reasons for Exemption
The project is exempt pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15304 (Class 4: Minor Alterations to the Land) because the project will mitigate a total of 1,721 cubic yards of earth. Additionally, it is exempt pursuant to Sections 15307 (Class 7), 15308 (Class 8) and 15321 (Class 21) because the actions being taken have been directed and enforced by Regulatory Agencies, including Regional Water Quality Control Board, Regional Water Board and BCDC, for the protection of natural resources and the environment. Please refer to attached supporting document explaining why the project does not meet any applicable exceptions to Categorical Exemptions listed in CEQA Guidelines Section 15300.2.
