Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to address pavement deficiencies along a 16.5-mile stretch of State Route (SR) 165, in Merced County from postmile 0.0 to 16.5, at 3 locations. The scope of work will include milling, repaving, removing, and replacing damaged pavement and in some sections will require Full Depth Recycling (FDR) to reconstruct the entire pavement structure. All construction work will take place on existing pavement and within Caltrans Right of Way. The purpose of the project is to repair areas of failing or damaged pavement. The need for this project is to prevent further deterioration of the paved highway surface and to extend the service life of SR 165.
