Reasons for Exemption
This project is covered under exemption (CEQA Guidelines, §15303) for new construction because the domestic well is adding equipment to an existing small structure that has similar equipment. In addition, the project is covered under exemption (CEQA Guidelines, §15304.) due to the project being small and contained within an area already constructed and operational pump station. Therefore, it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the activity in question may have a significant effect on the environment; therefore, the activity is not subject to CEQA.
