Notice of Exemption

Exempt Status
Categorical Exemption
Type, Section or Code
Article 19, Section 15303, Class 3, New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures
Reasons for Exemption
This site lends itself to the development of a wireless telecom facility as an accessory structure upon an existing, 149-foot-tall high-tension electrical transmission tower. The wireless telecom facility would be mounted at 70 feet, which would help obscure and draw attention away from the equipment. The distance of the equipment from the nearest residences is approximately 500 feet away to the east and buffered by the existing Union Pacific Railroad, which reduces visibility. Alternative sites would thus not significantly increase community compatibility.
