Document Description
Eastern Municipal Water District (District) is proposing the Hemet-Winchester Regional Odor Control Study (project) to evaluate the District’s current odor control systems. The project would also provide recommendations to optimize and implement a stable and reliable abatement of odor, with consideration of variations in sewer flow rate now and in the future. Additionally, the District is looking to identify opportunities to reduce odor control chemical dosage wherever possible to minimize precipitates within sewers and Regional Water Reclamation Facility (RWRF) biosolids, and effectively manage annual operating budgets due to the rising costs of chemicals. The beneficiaries of this project are the District’s diverse customers, and the communities served. The District Implements cost-effective projects and programs to manage wastewater and biosolids to achieve long-term, environmentally sustainable reuse.
