Document Description
The Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District (District) proposes to construct a new well as a new water source for agricultural use at the Harrington Grazing Unit in La Honda Creek Open Space Preserve (Preserve). The new well would replace an existing creek diversion and tie into existing water distribution lines and tanks. A new 5,000-gallon tank may be installed adjacent to existing water tanks depending on storage needs. The new well will supply water to troughs across the Preserve’s conservation grazing area. The scope of work includes drilling an 8-inch test hole to a depth of 250 feet. Installation of the well includes a PVC Well Casing, a PVC Well Screen, steel casing in the top 20 feet of the well, and a sand pack and sanitary seal.
