Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement No. EPIMS-RIV-47437-R6, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the California Department of Transportation, District 8. This project is limited to straightening a culvert that crosses underneath State Route 91, to provide a line of sight for wildlife moving through the culvert. An approximately 86-foot long, 12-foot by 12-foot section of the culvert will be replaced. Project activities are limited to the following: (1) removal of an existing 86-foot section of culvert and associated wingwalls, headwalls, inlet structure, rock slope protection, and 725 square feet of concrete apron, (2) removal of riparian vegetation including one cottonwood tree, (3) grading, and (4) installation of a new 86-foot section of culvert, approximately 3,325 square feet of un-grouted rock slope protection, approximately 140 linear feet of wingwalls, a parapet wall with cable railing, and approximately 2,160 square feet of concrete apron with 6- foot-deep cutoff walls.
