Document Description
TRCD will temporarily stockpile up to 30,000 cu. yd. of clean soil generated by other projects for future use in restoration activities. The stockpile site is less than one acre of previously disturbed land owned by the City of South Lake Tahoe. Soil will be tested for contaminants prior to stockpiling and temporary BMPs will be installed and maintained. The site will be restored to a natural condition upon completion of the project.

Reasons for Exemption
The stockpile site would be a minor public alteration in the condition of less than one acre of land and vegetation which would not involve removal of trees. The land has a slope less than 10 percent and the site would include BMPs. The stockpile area would be used temporarily and would be restored when the project is complete. No sensitive biological or cultural resources are present, and none of the exceptions in CEQA Guidelines Section 15300.2 apply.
