Document Description
The project consists of two main focus areas: 1) enhancing the wildlife corridor along Mill Creek, and 2) improving the native plant community and native pollinator foraging resources along Elder Creek. The wildlife corridor along Mill Creek will be better protected with the use of wildlife-friendly fencing to control cattle access. Blue oak acorns will be planted to improve oak regeneration, and wildlife brush piles will be constructed to provide winter refugia. Migratory birds, small to medium-sized
mammals, and mule deer. The native planting along Elder Creek is expected to benefit grassland-dependent nesting bird species, native pollinators, and native herbivores.
