Document Description
Remove and replace an existing 5’x110’ wood pier walkway with sixteen (16) wooden piles. Installation of a new 5’ x’ 110’ steel pier walkway with eleven (11) 8” diameter steel piles. In addition, an existing 16’ x 26’ wood deck will be replaced with new composite decking and hand railings, and installed on nine (9) existing 12” wooden piles. The existing 2” x 12” (PT) support joists and 2” x 10” (PT) support joists will also be removed and replaced. Finally, the existing 12’ x 28’ wood swim platform will be removed and replaced with a new steel-framed composite decking supported by four (4) existing 12” diameter wood piles.

Reasons for Exemption
Pursuant to California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Division 6, Chapter 3, Section 15302, Class 2, Replacement or Reconstruction, the project is a reconstruction of an existing walkway, deck, and joists, and replacement of a swim platform with composite decking. All work in the lake will take place between October 15 and December 31. The Lake County Community Development Department has determined that the project will not have a significant effect on the environment and is, therefore, exempt from the provisions of CEQA. The project will not result in significant adverse environmental effects to wetlands or riparian habitats.
