Document Description
The County of Riverside Transportation Department is proposing roadway improvements to Markham Street between Roosevelt Street and Wood Road for approximately 1.3 miles to improve traffic circulation in the community of Woodcrest in Riverside County, California. Proposed roadway improvements would include two 12-foot-wide travel lanes (one in each direction). with a 5-foot-wide westbound and 6-foot-wide eastbound Class II bike lane. The northern edge of the roadway would have an 8-foot-wide unpaved shoulder. and the southern edge of the roadway would include curb and gutters, a 6-foot-wide sidewalk and a 6-foot-wide parkwav. Traffic signal improvements and intersection modifications would be required. Existing property driveways would be modified to connect to new roadway improvements. Drainage improvements would include storm drains along the roadway and the addition of culverts to direct storm-flow drainage across the roadway. Existing utilities may require relocation or modifications. The proposed project would require partial right-of-way acquisitions. temporary construction easements, and permanent easements. ·
