Document Description
The project is located at 4551 Oro Dam Blvd. E, Oroville, California 95966 and is currently used as a fire center. Previously it was used as a recreational center. Upgrades to the TMFC will include: Construction of two 20’x 10’cement pads for the installation of refrigerator units for the expansion of a kitchen. A 20’(L) x 1’(W) x 2’ (D) trench will be dug from the building to the pad to provide electrical connectivity to the units. An approximate 20’x 100’ concrete pad will be reset along the west side of the building. Four tennis courts will be repaired and resealed to provide additional parking. Two double-wide 36’x 60’ modular office trailers will be placed on one of the lots to provide office space for supervisory and support staff. To provide utilities to the trailers, a 4’(W) x 4’(D) trench will be dug with the approximate length of 340’. Carports will be installed on the remainder lots for the immediate parking of crew busses, engines, and other equipment. An old wooden jungle gym will be removed and disposed of. The area will then be leveled to improve and widen the current access to the southwest lot. A beach volleyball court will be cleared, leveled, and rocked to provide additional parking for personnel. Culverts will be installed to allow proper drainage and keep water off these access points and lots. Wooden stairs will be taken apart and rebuilt when funding becomes available. An automatic gate will be installed on the driveway from Glen Dr. for safe access with large equipment. Restrooms will be updated, and additional toilets will be installed. As a result of this upgrade, the septic system will need to be upgraded as well. The current septic tank will be replaced with a 10,000-gallon septic tank along with a trench with the approximate dimensions of 4’ (D) x 2.5’(W) x 225’ (L). The leach field, which is located on the east side of the property, will also need to be improved to accommodate for the upgrades. Disturbance area for a leach field is approximately 10,000-12,000 sf. The approximate dimensions for the leach field lines are 30” (D) x 3’ (W) x 300’ (L). The area of work is less than an acre. Upgrades to the Fire Center is expected to take between 3-24 months.
