Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-MEN-44110-R1C, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Eric Mabry, representing Nevada Pacific Consulting Inc. The project is limited to one encroachment for the replacement of a failed culvert with a new 48-inch diameter by 30-foot long countersunk culvert with a mitered inlet. Work for the encroachment will include excavation, removal of the existing culvert, installation of a new properly sized and aligned culvert, backfilling and compaction of fill, rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion, and willow planting.

The Duffield Stream Crossing Project meets the criteria for categorical exemption type Class 1, California Code of Regulations, title 14, section 15301 – Existing Facilities, because the project involves replacing an existing stream crossing at a permanent road. No mature, scenic trees will be affected by this project. There would be no significant adverse impact on endangered, rare, or threatened species or their habitat pursuant to section 15065. The project will not result in impacts that are significant when viewed in connection with the effects of past projects, the effects of other current projects, and the effects of probable future projects.
