Document Description
This project is located on US Route 101 in Santa Clara County (SCL), from the San
Benito County line to the US 101/State Route (SR) 25 separation. The purpose of the
project is to prevent Run Off Road (ROR) collisions which can result in collisions and/or serious injuries via hitting fixed objects. The project is needed because a 2017 analysis determined there are no existing shoulder or edge line rumble strips and installation is the most effective, low-cost countermeasure to bring this area up to federal standards.
