Document Description
The project would improve two existing Caltrans Maintenance Stations in Mendocino County. At the Ukiah Maintenance Station adjacent to US 101, work would include installing a permanent fuel island with canopy and demolishing and replacing a storage building. At the Boonville Maintenance Station adjacent to SR 128, work would include replacing the existing substandard materials storage building with a new materials storage building. Both Maintenance Stations would receive a new Level 2 and a Level 3 electric vehicle charging station. The project locations were identified on the Cortese List as sites with historic leaking underground storage tanks. Caltrans determined that an Initial Study should be prepared to adequately satisfy the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) for Cortese List sites.
