Document Description
The City of Redding Parks Department will conduct a storm damage repair project along the Blue Gravel Mine Trail (Trail). In February 2024, a storm system resulted in heavy rain that caused a mudslide in a steep drainage ditch on the east side of the Trail. The repair project involves removing excess earthen material from the ditch, reinstalling rip-rap at the inlet, applying hydro seed to disturbed areas, and replacing the asphalt base on the shoulder of the trail. The public will be informed of pedestrian detours or trail closures.
