Document Description
The project will allow for annexation of APNs 072-220-026, 072-220-027, and 072-240-029 to the Russian River County Sanitation District (District) to support a Sonoma County Community Development Commission permanent supportive housing project with projected funding from the California Department of Housing and Community Development Homekey Program. The project, known as George’s Hideaway project, will develop permanent supportive housing with funding from the California Department of Housing and Community Development Homekey Program. The project will create 23 housing units and to repurpose the existing inn for office and support functions and to repurpose the duplex as a utility hub. The project also proposes a lot merger of the three existing parcels to create a single parcel. The project will require a new sewer main extension to connect to the District. The District has determined there is sufficient capacity for the project.

Reasons for Exemption
The project and its activities will be funded by HomeKey Round 2 funds. The project is exempt pursuant to AB140. The project would allow for the annexation and merger of three existing parcels and would construct a sewer main extension to connect to an existing facility that has the capacity to serve. The improvements are less than one mile in length, allowable on the legal parcel, and within the right-of-way. There is no expansion of use as a result of the project. Project activities would not result in a serious or major disturbance to an environmental, historical, or scenic resource.
