Exempt Status
Categorical Exemption
Type, Section or Code
15301, 15302, and 15304
Reasons for Exemption
The Orick CSD finds the project will not have a significant effect on the environment and would therefore be exempt from the provisions of CEQA pursuant to Sections 15301 (Existing Facilities), 15302 (Replacement or Reconstruction), and 15304 (Minor Alterations to Land). The proposed improvements will occur in previously disturbed areas, characterized by a combination of asphalt and unimproved earthen surfaces and, as a result, significant environmental impacts are not anticipated. Furthermore, none of the exceptions to the exemptions per Section 15300.2 of the State CEQA Guidelines apply.
