Document Description
DGS’ fleet electric vehicle charger installation project’s purpose will be to assist State Parks with meeting its fleet state requirements and is intended to potentially improve overall air quality by reducing carbon emissions associated with gasoline fueled vehicles. DGS’ project will design, provide, install, and electrically connect new electric vehicle supply/charging equipment and infrastructure for the parks fleet electric vehicles at two locations at Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve. Work will include saw cutting existing concrete/asphalt, trenching and backfilling with excavated native soil material, installing underground conduit and pull box, bollard and finishing of the affected developed lot area surface and restoring to original condition. Installing wire/cable in the conduit run from electric panel to new electric vehicle charging equipment location in order to connect electrical service to power the electric vehicle chargers. Project Area - Installing one Single Port Pedestal and one Dual Port Pedestal EV Charger as noted in project description. Work includes trenching for the EV charger foundation, pull box and conduit run which is approximately 100 feet length x 3 feet depth x 2 feet width through asphalt in the alignment shown on attached drawings. Machinery used for the project may include backhoe, asphalt cutter saw, concrete coring machine. All soil in the project areas has been previously disturbed by grazing and construction activities. Most of the ground disturbing area is under parking lot asphalt that has been disturbed for original construction.
