Reasons for Exemption
The project is categorically exempt under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines (Title 14, California Code of Regulations) Section 15301, Class 1, Subsection (I)(4) demolition and removal of accessory structures including small commercial structures and Section 15303, Class 3, Subsection (e) construction of limited numbers of new, smalls structures including accessory structures and equipment. The demolition of existing tower buildings and construction of a new playground is consistent with Class 1 and Class 3 exemptions and therefore will not have a significant environmental impact.
