Document Description
Removal of a 5’W x 56’L wooden pier and eleven wood pilings. Installation of 13 new steel pilings and a new 5’W x 56’L pier with a 4’W x 24’L gangway, a 21’W x 30’L boat lift, and a 8’W x 10’L watercraft lift. The project connects to an existing deck above a seawall. The depth of the lakebed at the base of the seawall is approximately 6.3 ft Rumsey. At the lakeward extent of the existing structure, the lakebed depth is approximately -6.2 ft Rumsey. The Lakebed has a moderate lakeward slope. Tules are not present within or adjacent to the project area.

Reasons for Exemption
Pursuant to California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Division 6, Chapter 3, Section 15303, Class 3, New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures, the project is a repair and conversion of an existing private structure (pilings and pier) to a pier with a gangway, boat lift, and watercraft lift. All work in the lake will take place between October 15 and December 31. The Lake County Community Development Department has determined that the project will not have a significant effect on the environment and is, therefore, exempt from the provisions of CEQA. The project will not result in significant adverse environmental effects to wetlands or riparian habitats.
