The project includes restoring a damaged earthen berm to its historical placement and shoulder grading in order to divert water and debris flows from crossing the road and making unsafe conditions for motorists. The washed-out berm material will be pushed from an upland area to its historical location in order to reduce flood risk and maintain services essential to public safety and welfare.
