The State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) is a Responsible Agency for the Project. The State Water Board’s Clean Water State Revolving Fund (SRF) Program is financing the Project referred to internally as Weaverville Sanitary System Upgrade. The purpose of the Project is to identify and assess, through monitoring and inspection, existing facilities that require repair and replacement and new facilities that enhance the system capacity to reduce public health risks. The Project includes the following: installation and sampling of two new groundwater wells, development of GIS Database of Sewer Assets, Manhole Survey and Assessment, CCTV Surveys, Flow Monitoring Survey, Sewer Hydraulic Modeling Survey, Hydrogeologic Study, development of a Project Report, Environmental Documentation, and submission of the CWSRF Construction Application. Weaverville Sanitary District would then prioritize the needed repair, replacement, and construction and develop an application to obtain a construction grant from the State Water Board to perform the work.
