Document Description
CAL FIRE would provide funding to The Watershed Research and Training Center to conduct hazardous fuels reduction treatments, including mechanical & manual thinning, mastication, piling, biomass removal, and chipping. The goal of the project is to implement fuel reduction treatments to remove danger/hazard trees, create conditions that will support the restoration of fire to its natural role in the ecosystem, promote native plant and wildlife species, and improve forest resiliency.

The proposed project was reviewed in its entirety under NEPA in the NEPA Trinity Post Fire Hazard Reduction and Salvage Project FEIS and ROD, signed on 12/19/17.
