Reasons for Exemption
The Project would include the replacement of deteriorated or damaged facilities to meet current standards of public health and safety, as the existing 2.5 MG South Tank has reached the end of its useful life. Implementation of the proposed Project would include the construction of the New Tank and removal of interfering portions of the existing water lines and installation of new piping to facilitate the New Tank’s integration into the existing water system. While the Project would result in an increase in capacity, it is considered negligible and does not contribute to an overall intensification of the Project Site as the total number of tanks would remain the same. Upon completion of the Project the facility will function similarly to existing conditions.
