Document Description
The City of Redding (City) will rehabilitate the Churn Creek Wastewater Lift Station. The project includes coating the existing wet well interior with epoxy, replacing slide gates and operators, rehabilitating pump guide rail systems, installing combination air valves on the existing lift station force mains, improving drainage from existing vaults, and installing wet well light fixtures. The project will also include removal and replacement of station's existing concrete force main outlet structure with a new polymer concrete structure. All work will take place within the existing wastewater facility.

Reasons for Exemption
Class 1 exemptions include the minor alteration of existing public structures and facilities. Class 2 exemptions consists of replacement or reconstruction where the new structure will be located on the same site and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity. Class 3 exemptions consist of construction and location of new small facilities and equipment, or conversion of existing structures. The existing wastewater facility will be rehabilitated in order to provide reliable service that meets public health and safety standards. The project will be located on City property and will result in a no expansion of use. The action area does not have significant values for wildlife habitat or other environmental resources and the project has no potential to have a significant effect on the environment.
