Document Description
The project consists of the installation of a Flock Safety automated license plate reading (ALPR) camera to be installed on behalf of the Benicia Police Department. The installation consists of a camera and a solar panel to power the camera to be attached to an existing light pole with no ground disturbance proposed. The purpose of the installation is to provide law enforcement with the ability to respond to detect license plates associated with criminal activity and to assist law enforcement with intercepting these vehicles. The beneficiaries of the project are both law enforcement and the public at large as this installation will serve public safety interests and help make Benicia a safer community.
