Notice of Exemption

Exempt Status
Emergency Project
Type, Section or Code
Sec. 21080(b)(4); 15269(b)(c)
Reasons for Exemption
Emergency repairs to the Browning Road Well are necessary to maintain service essential to the public health, safety, or welfare and necessary to prevent or mitigate an emergency. Placing the well back in service as soon as possible will provide safe water to residents and ensure that the system can meet fire flow and pressure demands. Absent this emergency project, if the well were placed into service to meet fire demands, for example, residents would not be able to use water for domestic purposes.
