The project is the temporary transfer of up to 2,000 acre-feet (AF) of water, from Westlands Water District Distribution District No. 2 (DD#2) to the City of Coalinga, for the benefit of a water user. DD#2 will temporarily transfer up to 2,000 AF from its Mercy Springs Water District contract assignment and the water will be made available in the San Luis Reservoir for delivery through existing facilities.
