The new system consists of the treatment vessels, site piping and valves, and a telemetry system that will be installed within the existing Well 34 footprint.

Reasons for Exemption
The proposed project is determined to be categorically exempt pursuant to the CEQA guidelines as identified above. The proposed project consists of installing new GAC water treatment system improvements at the City’s Well 34 to treat groundwater. Based on an analysis of the proposed project, the City of Pomona has determined that this project has no potential to cause significant adverse effects on the environment and will ensure that future potable water production operations at Well 34 can be conducted without significant adverse impacts.
