Document Description
Install a pedestrian and bicycle trail connection between Market Street and Webster Street; upgrading eight at-grade railroad crossings to meet current safety and design standards, including new rail road and pedestrian crossing arms and equipment, directional signage, pavement delineation, and intersection lighting; installing fencing along the railroad tracks between intersections; and improvements to the connection between Adeline Street/Middle Harbor Road and Market Street to provide a secondary emergency access route, accommodate overweight vehicles, and provide a redundant crossing over the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) tracks if the Adeline Street bridge is retrofitted, rehabilitated, or removed under a future separate project. The project is proposed to improve safety and sustainable access and mobility through the corridor.
