The purpose of this Project is to restore the hydrologic function and habitat of the degraded Logan Springs Meadow by reconnecting Pine Creek to the floodplain, increasing access to spawning habitat for the endemic Eagle Lake Rainbow Trout. The Project is located within a 40-acre meadow near the middle of the Pine Creek watershed in western Lassen County on Lassen National Forest managed lands. Project activities include the use of manual and mechanical construction equipment to develop an access-route and staging area, dig an upland borrow area for soil fill material, remove the railroad grade/berm, remove an old cattle fence, install a new cattle fence, place channel fill, construct a grade control structure and install BDAs.
