Reasons for Exemption
The City of San Diego conducted an environmental review that , determined the project would not have the potential to cause a significant effect on the environment. The project's remodel and addition meets the criteria set forth in CEQA Section 15302 consisting of the replacement or reconstruction of existing structures and facilities where the new structure will be located on the same site as the structure replaced and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity as the structure replaced. The propose sewer easement vacation meets the criteria set forth In CEQA Section 15305 which addresses minor alterations in land use limitations, in areas with an average slope of less than 20 percent, which do not result in any changes In land use or density. In addition, the exceptions listed In CEQA Section 15300.2 would not apply. The site Is not Included on any list compiled pursuant to Government Code Section 65962.5 for hazardous waste sites.
