Document Description
PG&E is seeking an encroachment permit from Caltrans for the purpose of undergrounding portions of the Oregon Trail 1103 12 kilovolt (kV) line along Shasta State Route 299 between PM 28 to PM 33. PG&E aims to reduce the risk of wildfire ignitions in high fire hazard severity zones by performing targeted undergrounding of overhead electric power lines. PG&E is coordinating with Caltrans and the USFS to work within the State Route 299.
