Notice of Exemption

Exempt Status
Categorical Exemption
Type, Section or Code
15302 Replacement of Reconstruction
Reasons for Exemption
The City of San Diego determined that the project would qualify to be categorically exempt from CEQA pursuant to Section 15302 (Replacement or Reconstruction). The exemption consists of replacement or reconstruction of existing structures and facilities where the new structure will be located on the same site as the structure replaced and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity as the structure replaced. Since the project proposes the replacement of an existing single-family residence with a new single-family residence, this exemption was deemed appropriate. In addition, the exceptions listed In CEQA Section 15300.2 would not apply.
