The project site is located northeast of the Community of Three Rivers and within its Urban Developed Boundary (UDB). The project site is zoned F-1, R-O-44 (Primary Flood Plain Zone and Single Family Estate Zone). The project includes the replacement of the 10,000 water storage tank. The tank will sit on a 100 square foot area on NKWMWC easement that is on the property. The existing water tank will be removed and recycled by the contractor.

This action is consistent with Section 15303 Class 3, New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures; in this instance, the new water storage tank will provide water for the existing community water system in the F-1, R-O-44 (Primary Flood Plain Zone and Single Family Estate Zone) zoned property. Also, replacement of a new water storage tank is consistent the Small Community Drought Relief Program. Therefore, the use of CEQA Section 15303 is applicable and appropriate for this project.
