This project will provide the Marina Pumping Plant No. 1 improved safety, security, reliability, and redundancy for the local community it serves. The project consists of installation of a new vault with electromagnetic flowmeters; demolition of the existing 3-sided structure housing the electrical equipment; construction of a new enclosed electrical building for upgraded electrical equipment and restroom; security measures including cameras, motion detector lights, and wrought iron fencing around the perimeter of the property (replacing the existing chain link fence adjacent to Hwy 1); rehabilitation and safety improvements of the existing wet well, dry pit, and valve vault; and other miscellaneous site improvements.
