Exempt Status
Categorical Exemption
Type, Section or Code
Section 15301 Existing Facilities, Class 1
Reasons for Exemption
Class 1 exemptions include the permitting, leasing, and operation of public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features that involve negligible or no expansion of existing or former use. The action will not result in expansion of use, as the new FBO will replace a FBO that previously provided services at the facility. The lease area is located within a built environment, a general aviation airport, and the action has no potential to have a significant effect on the environment.
