This project will renovate approximately 3,250 square feet of office and laboratory space at two locations on Campus – approximately 2,250 square feet on the third floor of Wickson Hall on the Main Campus, and approximately 1,000 square feet at the Animal Resource Service J1 Lab in South Campus. The project will install new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, relocation of a fume hood, adding movable furniture, flooring, signage, and paint and eye wash stations.

This project includes repairs and renovation to existing interior space with no expansion of existing use. This project qualifies as categorically exempt under Exemption Class 1 of the Guidelines for the Implementation to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). This exemption applies to the operation, repair, maintenance or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities or mechanical equipment, involving negligible or no expansion of the existing use. In addition, none of the exceptions for application of a categorical exemption apply to this project.
