Document Description
The project is limited to dredging at three existing boat ramps on the eastern bank of the Sacramento River that are maintained by Tehama County for public access. Accumulated sediment below the Ordinary High-Water Mark will be removed with the use of excavators on an as-needed basis. Sediment accumulates on the boat ramps during high winter flows, making public access hazardous or limiting capacity to launch boats. Temporary work pads, constructed from clean, silt-free gravel may be constructed in the water, when needed, to allow equipment to reach farther into the channel to reach areas that are inaccessible from dry ground. Most of the imported gravel from the temporary pad will be removed by the excavator upon completion of maintenance activities. No living vegetation will be removed or disturbed around the boat ramps.
