Reasons for Exemption
The project meets the conditions for a categorical exemption pursuant to Section 15332 of the State California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines. Specifically, the project is consistent with the City of Calistoga General Plan land use designation, complies with the established zoning regulations, and is a permitted use; is located within City limits on a site that is less than 5 acres and is substantially surrounded by established urban uses; is not on a site containing habitat for endangered, rare or threatened species; would not result in any significant effects relating to traffic, noise, air quality, or water quality; is on a site adequately served by all required utilities and public services; and there are no exceptions that would preclude applicability of the Class 32 exemption.
