Document Description
The Broadway Streetscape Improvements project will improve Oakland's bus operations, pedestrian safety, and fiber network within a segment of Broadway between 2nd Street and 11th Street and Broadway between 20th Street to West Grand Avenue to improve travel time reliability and safety, as well as to expand access to high-speed internet, within historically underserved communities in the city. Improvements will include transit improvements such as new bus only lanes; pedestrian improvements such as high-visibility crosswalks, bulb-outs, upgraded sidewalk, pedestrian-scale lighting, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant curb ramps, and wayfinding signage; and other improvements such as fiber optic network upgrade, traffic signal improvements, signing and striping, pavement markings, pavement repair and modifications to existing utility facilities.
