The project will generally include constructing one reinforced concrete curtain wall at approximately 34 feet in length and one reinforced concrete closure wall at approximately 4.6 feet in length along the bridge abutments and piers to prevent future scouring from occurring. Approximately 3-5 of soil will need to be excavated to install these walls. In addition, bank and channel stabilization measures will be implemented and the bridge deck will be treated to seal cracks and prevent water intrusion. A temporary creek diversion plan, consisting of cofferdams, may be necessary to dewater the work area.
