Document Description
The purpose of this project is to create and encourage the use of safe routes for bicyclists and pedestrians. The project includes the construction of Class IV bikeways, ADA curb ramps and bulb-outs, modifications to existing driveways, and the installation of in-roadway warning light systems, landscaping, and shade trees. This project is intended to benefit residents and visitors of the City of Parlier.

This project will involve minor alterations to existing public facilities. This project will not create any automobile lanes and will not need any additional right-of-way to be acquired in order to carry out this project. Thus, there will be negligible or no expansion of use associated with this project. The project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) review as a Class 1 existing facilities project for the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of existing or former use pursuant to the California Code of Regulations, Title 14 Section 15301 (c).
