Document Description
The Transit and Intercity Rail Capital Program (TIRCP) Oakland Waterfront Mobility Hub - 2nd Street Transportation Hub and Bike Lane Connection project will expand an existing bus layover facility on 2nd Street into an improved transit hub; improve safety for people walking, biking and taking transit along 2nd Street; and improve access to and from regional connections via the SF Ferry and Amtrak. Improvements will include bus boarding amenities, a bike lane connection, and pedestrian improvements such as wayfinding, pedestrian-scale lighting, new or upgraded sidewalk, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant curb ramps, and crosswalks enhancements; and signing and striping, pavement markings, pavement repair and modifications to existing utility facilities.
