Document Description
The scope of work includes the removal of existing deteriorated asphalt concrete pavement and replacement with a permeable concrete gutter and new asphalt concrete pavement. This will provide a new service life for the alley segment and incorporate stormwater infiltration improvements to capture and treat stormwater runoff and replenish the underground aquifers. Because not all stormwater can effectively be captured through the use of permeable pavement, additional stormwater infiltration infrastructure in the form of drywells will be installed at certain locations. In addition, at locations with the presence of extensive underground utilities that will conflict with the installation of a drywell system, further additional stormwater infiltration infrastructure in the form of bioswales will be installed.
